Guidance on tradespeople entering a property
The Scottish Government have released new guidance on tradespeople entering a property to carry our repairs works and safety checks.
The Scottish Government have advised the following:
Work carried out in people’s homes can continue across all levels but should be limited to the provision of essential services only at Level 4.
At levels 0-3 there will be no restrictions on the Association carrying out repair works in the property. However, while we are placed in level 4 we are only able to carry out essential repairs and safety checks.
Please continue to report all repair works to the Association. At the time of reporting a member of staff will advise if the repair is classed as essential or if this work needs to be delayed until we enter level 3.
Any work that needs to be delayed will be logged by the staff member and reported to our contractors as soon as the guidance allows. The Scottish Government will be reviewing its guidance and level 4 restrictions on 11 December 2020.
Gas and electrical safety checks will continue as these are considered essential along with the installation of the new smoke and heat alarms.
Any repairs can be reported in the following ways:-
